A so-called “Love Bomb” has hit Sunset Point Park in Collingwood.
Just a day after the playground was vandalized with racist and homophobic graffiti, members of the community have covered over it with messages of love and rainbows this weekend, thanks to paint donated by local hardware stores.
The OPP is investigating the graffiti, which they believe took place sometime overnight between July 8 and July 9.
Investigators believe the suspect(s) may be from outside the Collingwood area and are asking local residents to check their security cameras for anything suspicious around the time of the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to call Collingwood OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
