The OPP says it arrested a man in Wasaga Beach for being in possession of a loaded firearm.
Early Sunday morning, Huronia West OPP was called to a bar on Main Street for a fight-in-progress, when officers arrived, a man was taken into custody for assault.
During the investigation, police say the suspect was found to be in possession of a loaded revolver.
As a result, Michael MCPHERSON, 28, from Barrie, has been charged with the following;
- Unauthorized Possession of a prohibited Firearm
Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession Firearm
Careless storage of Firearm
Possess Firearm contrary to Prohibition Order – two counts
Fail to Comply Probation – two counts
Assault
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on August 17, 2021
