The Grey Bruce Ladies Fastball League released their 2021 schedule this week.
Six teams; Meaford, Port Elgin, Tara, the Royals, the Gators and the Bears will compete over the course of July, August and early September utilizing 5 different ball parks to stage their games.
To a large extent, I’m not the least surprised that the Ladies Fastball League was the first off the mark in terms of a local league returning to play. The Grey Bruce League has always been prompt with drawing up their schedule and are always among the most reliable when it comes to reporting their results.
While there is great anticipation with the season opening this week, looking ahead there’s a neat date scheduled for mid-August
On Sunday August 15th, all 6 teams will be in action in Allenford.
Tara meets the Gators at 3, Port Elgin follows against Meaford and then the Bears and Royals face each other to conclude a day of ladies fastball that will stretch into the early evening.
The Grey Bruce Ladies Fastball League is underway, the first out of the chute, and the hope is that a year from now every summer league at every level is fully operational.
