31 new cases of COVID-19 were reported Thursday in Grey Bruce.
16 people at Saugeen First Nation tested positive along with eight in Owen Sound, three in Saugeen Shores, two in Meaford, one in Arran-Elderslie and one in Grey Highlands.
Public Health says with six more resolved cases there are 187 active cases in the region. There are 305 active high risk contacts associated with the region’s cases.
Nine local people are hospitalized in Grey Bruce and and four are being treated outside of the region.
Over the course of the pandemic, there have been eight deaths linked to the virus in Grey Bruce.
19,359 COVID-19 vaccines have been given in the past seven days for a total of 158,879 doses to date.

The Health Unit says it has been working with Saugeen First Nation Chief Lester Anoquot and Band Council to address a COVID-19 outbreak in the community.
On Wednesday, Chief and Band Council declared a State of Emergency
Measures to control the spread include full closure of all band services and businesses for a two week period and a full closure of all Saugeen First Nation services and businesses beginning today at noon.
Band members are being asked to stay at home for the two week closure and avoid gatherings of any kind. Facilities are being made available for those without a permanent residence.
A mass vaccination clinic is being held at the rec centre there today. (Friday)
