Huron County OPP will be focusing on safety equipment heading into Canada Day.
The county’s police force says officers will be patrolling roads, waterways, and trails through to July 4th.
In a news release, the OPP say officers will be searching for those in the outdoors wearing life jackets, helmets, and seat belts.
According to police, only one of the 10 boaters/paddlers who have died so far this year was wearing a life jacket or personal flotation device.
