A 26 year old man has been arrested in connection with a boat break-in at the Port of Orillia.
The OPP were called to the area on Friday night by a boat owner, who reported someone was on his vessel and had started the engine.
When officers arrived, they found a man seated in the captain’s chair on the upper deck and he was taken into custody.
As a result, Rishi Kapoor, age 26, has been charged with:
- Break, enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence
- Theft over $5000 of a motor vehicle
The accused was held for a bail hearing set for June 26, 2021, via video link to the Ontario Court of Justice, New Market.
