Community Canada Day celebrations and fireworks are cancelled in Huntsville, but the town has launched the Canadian Spirit Photo Contest.
It is asking residents over the age of 19 to take pictures depicting Canadian Spirit and submit them to the contest before noon on Friday.
There are prizes to be won, including the top prize of a $500 Downtown Huntsville BIA Gift Certificate.
Officials say the photo submissions will be judged on a number of criteria including, theme, esthetics and photography skill, creativity and inclusion of red and white colours etc.
Contest is for Huntsville residents only and you must be 19 years of age to enter. For full contest rules, judging criteria, regulations and to enter the contest please visit myhuntsville.ca.
