The Harvie Rd./Big Bay Point Rd. Highway 400 crossing will open to the public Thursday at 9 p.m.
The overpass has been built over the last four years and connects Harvie Rd. to Big Bay Point Rd. across Highway 400.
The bridge has five lanes for vehicle traffic, two separate lanes for bicycles and two sidewalks for pedestrians.
It has been built to support growth and provide existing residents and business alternative travel options in south Barrie.
There is also clearance for the future widening of Highway 400.
