Details are coming out about the rescue of two boaters from Georgian Bay off Collingwood Sunday.
OPP received a call from a resident on Georgian Manor Drive about someone sounding their air horn on the water. The caller also observed a boat that looked like it was sinking.
An OPP marine unit was able to get to the scene quickly and found a male and a female in the water about a kilometer off shore, along with debris from their boat.
Officers brought the two safely on board, and found out their 14 foot boat sank after taking on water in heavy waves. The pair were not injured.
