More police are coming to Wasaga Beach.
Mayor Nina Bifolchi said she had a discussion with a number of the top brass at the OPP yesterday on beachfront safety strategies.
She said police, along with Provincial Park Superintendent John Fisher, confirmed that additional resources will be deployed at main beach areas on weekends for the remainder of the season, to deter and address various forms of bad behavior that has been evident by some over the last two weekends.
These meetings were in response to recent communications between the town and the province regarding behaviour at the beachfront.
