The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported five new Covid cases on Friday.
According to Public Health, three people from Brockton, and residents of Owen Sound and Saugeen Shores tested positive.
With seven previous cases now resolved, the region’s active known case load fell to 51. One Grey Bruce resident is hospitalized locally and another is receiving care outside the area.
More than 128,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.
Seven Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Friday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Thursday.
