Bracebridge’s Mayor is congratulating Muskoka Brewery on its 25th anniversary.
Graydon Smith was on hand recently to congratulate Bob MacDonald (co-owner) and Todd Lewin (co-owner) specifically.
“I am thrilled to recognize this significant milestone that Muskoka Brewery has achieved in a very competitive industry,” said Smith. “The thoughtful leadership provided by Todd and Bob has thrust Muskoka Brewery to the forefront of the Canadian craft beer industry. The Brewery has become a significant employer for our community and one of the first who committed to paying its employees a living wage. The facility has also become a tourism draw for the region with a great number of people coming each year for a brewery tour.”
Bob MacDonald, co-owner of Muskoka Brewery thanked the Mayor for his kind words.
“It’s been quite the journey these past 25 years and we’re proud to be a pioneer in the craft brewing industry,” stated MacDonald.
Todd Lewin, President of Muskoka Brewery, echoed his business partner’s comments. “Being a leader in the craft brewing business takes a great team and great community support,” he said. “We are fortunate to have both here in Muskoka.”
Muskoka Brewery started in downtown Bracebridge in 1996 with the launch of Muskoka Cream Ale.
They moved to their current location at 1964 Muskoka Beach Road in 2012 to allow for production expansion.
A few years later, the Brewery expanded again and currently employs 120+ workers. In addition to craft beer, the Brewery produces spirits and hard sparkling water.
