A $50,000 reward’s being offered for info leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the death of Alexander William Tobin in the Omemee area.
On February 18th, 2020 just after 1 pm, OPP attended a residence in response to a reported shooting.
The investigation revealed that 18-year-old Alexander William Tobin of Omemee suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Further investigation indicated that two suspects were seen fleeing the area on foot and departing in a motor vehicle on Highway 7.
Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), continue to actively investigate this homicide.
