The Orillia Perch Festival kicks off this weekend.
Due to the pandemic, the event will be taking a different approach this year with participants submitting a cellphone picture of the fish caught in order to win prizes.
The festival will begin tomorrow (Saturday) and run to June 26.
This year is the 40th Anniversary of the Orillia Perch Festival, and there are over $80,000 in cash and prizes available to be won.
Up for grabs are fishing gear, instant cash prizes up to $1,000, and the grand prize a Lund Fishing Boat.
