The M’Wikwedong Indigenous Friendship Centre in Owen Sound will hold a sacred fire and ceremony today for the 215 indigenous children buried at a former residential school in BC.
There will be a pipe ceremony, drum songs and prayers at the baseball diamond field at 1045 3rd Avenue West in Owen Sound.
Visitors can drop by to offer Assema (tobacco) at the fire between 11 this morning until 2:30 this afternoon.
Everyone is asked to observe social distancing and wear masks.
