Meaford is looking for input on what residents would like to see at McCarroll Park.
Having been directed by council to undergo creating a new master plan for the park, staff are working to ensure the area continues to be maintained.
A release notes the current equipment and infrastructure is reaching the end of its life and the new master plan will provide an initial layout for the park based on feedback from residents, land use requirements and practices used for park development.
Rod Willis, Manager of Parks and Facilities with Meaford says they are relying on the feedback of our park users to make sure those who love the park has a say in the future.
“McCarroll Park has a long history in our community, with many contributions from service clubs and businesses over the years making it what it is today,” says Willis.
Three design options have been crafted for review to use as a starting point for residential commentary. Everyone who takes part is reminded if they do not see an option they like, they do not need to choose another as there may be elements from one they prefer or dislike.
A survey is available for residents to voice their thoughts and the results and draft plan will be reviewed by the Park Advisory Committee before bringing it to council for approval.
Residents can take part of the survey on the Meaford website and will close on June 30.
