Owen Sound police are looking for a driver they say hit an e-bike operator.
Police say it happened on Tuesday, June 1st just after 1:30 in the morning.
According to police, a 32 year old Wiarton man was driving a stolen vehicle at a downtown Owen Sound convenience store on 10th Street East.
He was confronted by the vehicle’s owner but decided to drive away in the stolen vehicle, hitting a 39 year old Owen Sound resident on an e-bike in the process.
Police say the e-bike operator received serious non-life threatening injuries that required surgery.
An arrest warrant is being sought for the driver for the following charges:
Dangerous operation causing bodily harm.
Fail to stop at the scene of accident, cause bodily harm.
Possession of property obtained by crime.
Operation while prohibited.
