Calhoun To Compete At Para World Series
Owen Sound Aquatic Club Release
OSAC’s Meghan Calhoun has been selected to join a small Team Canada Contingent heading to Berlin, Germany on June 11th for the last stop on this Season’s World Para Swimming World Series June 17-20th.
Meghan’s primary purpose for the trip is her International Classification process – which if successful – will give her future access and opportunities to International Team selections representing Team Canada.
She will swim the 200 back and 100 breaststroke on Day 1 of the competition and return immediately due to COVID-19 protocols.
Unfortunately, the one day quick turnaround means Calhoun will have to bypass her signature event which is the 100 butterfly.
Owen Sound Aquatic Club Head Coach Ken Fitzpatrick spoke to Fred Wallace about Meghan Calhoun and the opportunity.
