Appointments for second doses of a COVID-19 vaccine are beginning for older residents of Huron and Perth counties.
Those 80 years of age and older can book their second vaccine appointment on Monday through Huron Perth Public Health.
The news follows an update from the province, which hopes to have most Ontarians vaccinated against the novel coronavirus by the end of the summer.
Individuals 70 and up are expected to be allowed to book their second COVID-19 vaccine, starting June 14th.
The week of June 28th, those who received their vaccine between the weeks of March 8th and April 18th will become eligible.
July 19th, those who received their first shot from April 19th and May 9th will become eligible.
On August 2nd, those who received their first vaccine from May 10th and May 30th will become eligible.
All others will become eligible August 9th.
