Starting on the evening of May 29, a major road in Barrie will be out of commission for 18 months.
The Anne Street Bridge over the 400 will be taken down, and a new one built in its place.
That means motorists will need to use alternate overpasses to cross the highway.
For pedestrians, Barrie transit buses will provide free shuttle service with a stop on either side of the bridge.
