Wasaga Beach is investing funds to update its parking machines.
Council has approved spending $114-thousand in advance of the 2022 parking capital budget for the purchase of mandatory parking machine upgrades.
In the fall of 2019, the town learned of changes required to ensure compliance with credit card company accessibility standards in relation to parking machines, including a compliance date of October 2022.
The town has 28 machines and to date has updated 10 of them. The additional upgrades would apply to the remaining 18 machines.
