The friend of an Orillia man who has suffered a life-altering injury, has started an online fundraiser to help with his recovery.
It says 20 year old Riley Chapman, a young civil engineering student and Twin Lakes graudate, suffered a very traumatic accident that left him in hospital early this month.
His friend Nick, who started the campaign, says Riley is currently left with no feeling below his chest or in his hands, after sustaining a broken vertebrae in his neck requiring surgery.
He says Riley is currently in ICU on a ventilator to assist with breathing as his body heals, but his prognosis is unknown at this point.
