UPDATE: OPP report they have recovered the body of the missing Bargeman shortly after 1:30 pm today (FRI).
The investigation into the cause of the incident remains ongoing.
PRIOR: Haliburton OPP is continuing its search for a missing bargeman on Lake Kawagama in Algonquin Highlands.
Yesterday they were dispatched to a marine incident on the lake involving a barge where two occupants ended up in the water.
One of the people made it shore.
OPP says resources from the Haliburton Highlands OPP Detachment, Aviation Services, Snowmobile, ATV and Vessel Enforcement (SAVE) Unit, and the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) continue their search efforts today for the other individual and the investigation continues.
