An online fundraiser has been set up to help the family of a Muskoka man injured in a workplace accident.
According to the Go Fund Me page, 49 year old Port Carling resident Christopher Reeds fell from a ladder at his window cleaning job last Friday, May 14th.
It says Chris was airlifted to Sunnybrook hospital and given emergency surgery to stabilize his spine, which has sustained several breaks and at this point Chris is paralyzed from the waist down.
His Aunt, Connie who set up the fundraiser, says Chris moved in with his mother a couple of years ago to help her as she struggles from the debilitating effects of Parkinson’s and that support is now gone, along with the life-changing effects of his injuries.
She says funds raised will be used to assist Chris with whatever is needed medically and emotionally and physically to help him regain a sense of control in his new reality.
