Huron County is looking to address the region’s shortage of child care options.
The county will be hosting online information sessions next month for residents to become approved home child care operators under the County’s Licensed Home Child Care program.
Diane Millian, Supervisor of Huron County Children’s Services, says “This program aims to streamline the approval process and provide individuals with the support and resources they need to start being a home child care provider.”
The program consists of 2 sessions: The first is a general information session that includes a description of how Licensed Home Child Care is delivered and regulated; the second is intended for serious applicants to learn more about running their child care operation as a business.
The General Information session runs June 1st, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and you can find a link to register here.
