Eight new cases of COVID-19 were logged in the latest report for Huron and Perth counties.
Three of the cases announced Wednesday were in Goderich, and a pair was confirmed in South Huron.
Nine COVID-19 cases were resolved, dropping Huron-Perth from 76 active cases to 75.
Sadly, another death linked to the novel coronavirus was confirmed in the region, raising the local death toll to 56.
202 residents of Huron-Perth are currently in isolation, as high-risk contacts of COVID-19, while one resident is currently in hospital due to the virus.
