A 23-year-old Southgate man faces charges after allegedly fleeing the scene of an incident in Dundalk where a person was injured after being tossed from the hood of his vehicle.
Grey Bruce OPP say the incident happened on May 8 just after 3 p.m. on Bradley Street in Dundalk.
According to the OPP, a person had jumped onto the hood of a motor vehicle, then the driver drove away with the pedestrian still hanging onto the hood.
Police say the pedestrian fell to the ground and suffered injuries deemed serious but non-life threatening, after the driver turned a corner sharply.
The pedestrian, who has not been identified by police, was treated at hospital.
OPP say the 23-year-old driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
Police have not explained what prompted the pedestrian to jump onto the hood of the vehicle.
The 23-year-old Southgate man who was driving the car was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.
The accused is due to make a court appearance in Owen Sound in July.
