About 20 firefighters had to be called in to help battle a grass fire in Gravenhurst.
It broke out on Sunday off Highway 169 near Sunshine Court and started to spread quickly.
Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control, after water was shuttled to the scene by tanker trucks.
Just days before the fire, officials had warned local residents that even though the current forest fire danger rating is set to low, a drying trend is underway with little rain in the forecast in the coming days.
Approx 20 firefighters remain on scene. This quickly spreading fire has been stopped but crews will remain on scene as the whole fire area is overhauled. Water is being shuttled to the scene by tanker trucks from West Gravenhurst.#SlowDownMoveOver pic.twitter.com/OTE2krEnAD
