The Huron Shores Hospice in Tiverton has received a $55,000 donation on behalf of Bruce Power’s nuclear supply chain partners.
The money was turned over at a virtual hike fundraiser for the hospice held May 8th.
Co-chair of the hospice Cheryl Cottrill says, in a news release, “We welcome these partners in helping to create a world where end-of-life care receives as much beauty, care and respect as the beginning.” We cannot do the work we do without generous donations from our partners, and we thank them for recognizing the importance of quality end-of-life care in our community.”
The Bruce Power Charitable Events Sponsorship Program aligns the company’s vendor partners with local, provincial and national non-profit organizations that focus on Indigenous youth, health and wellness organizations, Canadian veterans and local Legions, food banks, and hospital foundations.
Suppliers will donate over $500,000 to these initiatives in 2021.
