Local fire officials are asking people to be careful with outdoor burning.
Muskoka Lakes firefighters from Foots Bay, Bala, Torrance and Walkers Point stations had to take time out of their Saturday to deal with a wildfire just off Summit Road. More than a a dozen firefighters spend a couple of hours on the scene. No injuries were reported.
In Port Sydney, embers from a campfire that wasn’t fully extinguished started a six acre brush fire.
Huntsville Lake of Bays firefighters from two stations were on the scene for more than four hours.
Embers from a campfire that wasn't fully extinguished started around a 6-acre brush fire Saturday in Port Sydney. Firefighters from Stn. 5 & Stn. 1 were on scene for over 4 hrs.
