Owen Sound Police are looking for help identifying suspects after a male was found lying on a downtown street badly beaten overnight.
City Police say they were contacted around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning by someone who noticed the victim in the 900 block of 2nd Avenue East.
Officers attended and found the male with significant injuries to his face. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police say the male was able to tell them he had been approached by a group of four or five young males and a female. After a brief altercation they attacked him.
Owen Sound Police say the main assault appears to have occurred in the area of 950 2nd Avenue East. Police say they are requesting to review security camera footage that captures the sidewalk of any businesses in the area.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Owen Sound Police or Crime Stoppers.
