Hot on the heels of Food Bank donations by the Power Workers’ Union, now over 30 members of Bruce Power’s supply chain are giving food banks in Bruce, Grey and Huron counties a boost.
A news release states that through the Bruce Power Charitable Events Sponsorship Program, 38 local food banks will each receive $1,000 from the nuclear supplier partners.
The program aligns the company’s vendor partners with local, provincial and national non-profit organizations that focus on Indigenous youth, health and wellness organizations, Canadian veterans and local Legions, food banks, and hospital foundations.
Suppliers will donate over $500,000 to these initiatives in 2021.
