The following information was provided by the West Grey Police Service:
During the week of April 29 to May 6, the West Grey Police Service responded to 60 total calls for service.
Officers responded to six Traffic Complaints / Enforcements, 14 Police Assistance and three Suspicious Persons, Officers also provided assistance at four Domestic / Family Disputes and de-escalation at two Mental Health Act calls.
On April 30, West Grey Police were involved in a Police Pursuit after a vehicle failed to stop for police. The pursuit was terminated for public safety purposes. The matter remains under investigation.
On May 5, a 23 year old male from Durham who is a frequent flier with West Grey Police Service was once again arrested for shoplifting at a local business. He was processed and later released from custody. He will appear in Walkerton Court in June 2021.
