The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported five new Covid cases and seven recoveries in the region on Thursday.
According to Public Health, two people from Chatsworth, two from Georgian Bluffs and an Owen Sound resident tested positive.
A slight daily decrease in the region’s active known cases to 51, as resolved cases outpaced new infections. Two Grey Bruce residents are currently hospitalized.
Public Health says there are also six people from other health units transferred to local Intensive Care Units in Grey Bruce.
There are 162 active high-risk close contacts identified by Public Health.
On vaccination progress in Grey Bruce: 63,061 doses have been administered to date.
Over the course of the pandemic, five Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Thursday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.
