Public Health reported six new cases of COVID-19 in Grey Bruce Monday.
These case numbers reflect the 24-hour period ending 23:59 May 2nd.
Three residents of Southgate tested positive along with two in South Bruce and one in Meaford.
The Health Unit says with five more resolved cases, there are 59 known active cases in the region including 37 variants.
According to Public Health, there are 199 active high risk contacts associated with the region’s cases.
Three local people are hospitalized due to the virus and seven cases have been transferred to the region’s intensive care units for treatment.
Over the course of the pandemic, five deaths have been linked to the virus in Grey Bruce.
Public Health says there are no reported outbreaks in hospitals, long-term care homes, retirement homes, schools or childcare centres in Grey Bruce.
4,680 doses of vaccine have been shipped to the region this week. Public Health says 6,752 doses have been administered in the past week for a total of 61,141 doses to date.
