A two-vehicle head-on collision on Highway 12 has claimed the life of a 31-year-old Beaverton resident.
OPP report it happened earlier today on the highway at the 15th concession when a southbound vehicle collided with another vehicle in the northbound lane.
The driver of the southbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene while the other driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A road closure that stopped both northbound and southbound traffic at the location is expected to reopen around noon.
The investigation into the collision continues.
