A rainbow crosswalk has now been painted as a permanent part of Grand Bend’s downtown.
The Municipality of Lambton Shores approved the rainbow crosswalk in 2020, and the feature was painted Friday at the beach turning circle.
“We look forward to seeing the rainbow crosswalk become a beloved addition to Grand Bend,” said Mayor Bill Weber.
“We have already seen some incredible responses to the crosswalk, and we are proud of the diversity, inclusion and support within our community.”
The Municipality thanks the Affirming Action Team at Huron Shores United Church for taking the initial lead on this initiative.
