New deals for Pfizer vaccine booster doses have been reached with Canada.
Today Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said almost 14 million various COVID vaccine doses have been delivered across the country and that 30 percent of eligible Canadians have received their first jab as of today.
He says the new deals reached with Pfizer will help the country into the future.
“We’ve reached an agreement with Pfizer for 35 million booster doses for next year and 30 million in the year after,” he said. “This deal includes options to add 30 million doses in both 2022 and 2023 and an option for 60 million doses in 2024.”
Other talks are ongoing with other companies too, he said, for more booster doses.
