A 26-year-old Barrie resident is facing firearm-related charges after a traffic stop in Addington Highlands.
OPP say they were called to an incident involving a weapon at 3 pm Saturday on Highway 28.
No one was injured, but the Barrie resident and two others from Mississauga and Toronto were charged.
The accused faces careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime, possession of a firearm or ammo contrary to a prohibition order, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo and being an occupant in a vehicle knowing there is a firearm charges.
The accused remains in custody and is to appear for a bail hearing today.
