The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 17 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday.
With 16 more resolved cases, there are 165 known active cases in the region including 12 variants.
The Health Unit says there are 659 high risk contacts associated with the region’s cases.
They say case and contact management has been caught up and is now being maintained.
In its latest report, the Healt Unit says essential travel to other health unit jurisdictions, should not be denied for Grey Bruce residents.
Three cases are are hospitalized in Grey and Bruce due to COVID-19, and one local person is hospitalized outside the region.
Over the course of the pandemic, five residents of Grey Bruce have died from the virus,
There are no declared outbreaks in hospitals, long-term care homes, or retirement homes in the region.
There is an outbreak associated with Notre Dame school in Owen Sound and a suspected outbreak associated with Hanover Heights community school. Queen of Hearts childcare centre in Owen Sound remains under outbreak status.
