The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise residents that the Landfill and Public Library will be temporarily closed in response to the critical threshold and stay-at-home order announced by the Grey Bruce Public Health Unit.
The landfill will be closed for the remainder of this week and early next week. Based on public health advice, it is anticipated that the landfill will reopen on Thursday, April 22, 2021. During this time, the landfill will continue to provide scheduled service to commercial operators.
The Blue Mountains Public Library will be closing curbside pickup through Sunday. Staff will be monitoring voicemail and email messages and responding to patron needs. Please leave detailed messages when calling or emailing to best handle your question.
“The Town would like to thank all residents for their understanding and patience during these temporary closures,” explained Chief Administration Officer, Shawn Everitt. “The landfill and the Library often experience increased use when residents are at home and on weekends; however, ensuring the health and safety of both the community and Town staff is of the utmost importance. We look forward to reopening as soon as it is safe to do so.”
