The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie has hired a new Chief Administrative Officer.
A release says Sylvia Kirkwood comes to the Municipality with over 27 years of progressive municipal service, with her most recent position as the Chief Planner/Director of Planning with the Town of Caledon in the Region of Peel.
Mayor Steve Hammell says in a statement, Kirkwood’s leadership, knowledge and strong work ethic was evident during the recruitment process and he looks forward to Kirkwood leading the team as Chief Administrative Officer.
Kirkwood says she is excited to build upon and implement key recommendations from some of the Municipality’s recently released strategic studies and master plans.
Her official start date is May 25th.
