Public Health Grey Bruce reported 12 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday.
Three residents of Blue Mountains tested positive as well as two in Huron-Kinloss, two in Southgate, and one in Grey Highlands, Meaford, Northern Bruce Peninsula, Owen Sound and Saugeen Shores.
Public Health says with 13 resolved cases, there are 90 active known cases including 22 variants.
The Health Unit says there are 497 high-risk contacts associated with those cases.
One person is hospitalized due to the virus in Grey Bruce and one local person is hospitalized outside the region.
Over the course of the pandemic, four local people have died from the virus.
Meanwhile, The Grey Bruce Health Unit is working with Bluewater District School Board to address five confirmed cases and one probable case of COVID-19, associated with Georgian Bay Community School in Meaford.
They say there is evidence transmission was the result of social gatherings among the high school aged youth and not related to in-school activities. They say additional testing may identify other individuals also associated with this cluster.
No bus routes are involved with this case.
The Health Unit is also confirming an outbreak at Queen of Hearts Nursery School in Owen Sound.
Three confirmed cases and a number of probable cases are identified with this outbreak.
There is also a declared outbreak at Notre Dame School in Owen sound, as well as a suspected outbreak at Beaver Valley School in Thornbury.
There are no declared outbreaks in retirement homes or long-term care homes in Grey Bruce.
