A Kincardine man has won $2 million in the lottery.
A release from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says Richard Butler is $2 million richer after winning the March 17th, ONTARIO 49 jackpot. Butler matched all six numbers to win.
Butler says he has been playing the lottery for a long time, noting, “This is my first time at the Prize Centre.”
Butler is a 77-year-old father of three and grandfather of six.
He checked checked his ticket using the OLG Lottery App.
“I couldn’t believe I won. I had to check it a dozen times before it sunk in,” says Butler, adding, “My wife and I called the kids to tell them we won. They were really excited!”
Richard plans to treat himself with something and save the rest for his children and grandchildren.
The winning ticket was purchased at Rexall on Sutton Street in Kincardine.
