Two proposals have been unveiled for the redevelopment of a key piece of waterfront land in Orillia.
The city owned property is on Front Street, now occupied by a retail plaza and a Metro grocery store. The plan involves removing the plaza to extend Coldwater Road and connect the downtown with the waterfront. There would also be a mix of commercial and residential space.
Two companies, FRAM Building Group and Tribal Partners have submitted their ideas, and now the city has put together a virtual open house and survey to get input from the public.
The city hopes to choose a proposal by late summer.
