Public Health Grey Bruce reported eight new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday.
Four residents of Blue Mountains tested positive as well as one each in Owen Sound, Kincardine, Chatsworth, and Grey Highlands.
With 14 resolved cases, there are 56 known active cases in the region including 17 variants.
Public Health says there are 383 high-risk contacts associated with the region’s cases.
Two people are hospitalized locally due to the virus and two local people are also hospitalized outside the region.
Over the course of the pandemic, four residents of Grey Bruce have died from the virus.
Aside from the declared outbreak at the hospital in Owen Sound, Public Health says there are no declared outbreaks in any schools, child care centres, long-term care homes or retirement homes in Grey Bruce.
32, 248 vaccines have been administered to date.
Public health received 5980 vaccine doses this week.
