The North Simcoe area is in line for about 1.5 million federal and provincial infrastructure dollars to upgrade local sports and recreation facilities. Simcoe North MPP Jill Dunlop says approval’s been given for seven projects.
They include new outdoor recreation courts in Ramara and Severn, kitchen upgrades to Penetanguishene’s community centre, sound masking for the Orillia library,
and a new covered skating area and washroom in Tiny Township. A skating rink in Severn township will also get upgrades.
