More than 350 pharmacies and primary care settings in the province will soon be offering the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine.
According to information provided by the provincial government, some pharmacies in Grey and Bruce counties are part of this next phase of the rollout: Kristen’s Pharmacy in Southampton, Markdale Pharmacy and Thornbury Pharmacy.
According to the Ontario government, those ages 55 and over can book an appointment at some participating pharmacies as soon as this Saturday, April 3.
In alignment with updated NACI recommendations, Ontario will not use AstraZeneca vaccine for individuals under 55, while data is being reviewed by Health Canada.
Note: This story was updated from an earlier version to remove inaccurate information provided by the provincial government that McKenzie’s Pharmacy in Wiarton is one of the locations that will be offering the vaccine. It is not.
