A Southgate man has been seriously injured in an ATV crash.
Dufferin County OPP say, early in the morning on March 25th at about 4 a.m., officers responded to a report of a 43-year-old driver from Southgate, who reportedly rolled his ATV and was ejected from the vehicle.
Police say the driver was not wearing a helmet and sustained serious injuries in the collision which took place on private property.
He was taken by EMS to a local hospital and later transported by Orange Air Ambulance to a Toronto-area trauma centre.
They say their investigation is continuing and charges may be pending.
OPP ask the community to remember to treat all vehicles the same when it comes to driving responsibly. They say impaired driving legislation is applicable when operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drug, including ATVs, Boats, Jet-skis, snowmobiles and other recreational vehicles.
