Public Health reported nine new cases of COVID-19 Monday in Grey Bruce.
Two residents of Chatsworth tested positive along with two in Kincardine, two in Southgate, and one in Georgian Bluffs, Hanover and Owen Sound.
With 12 recoveries Monday, there are 59 active known cases including 10 active variants.
Public Health says there are 394 active high-risk contacts.
Six people are hospitalized in Grey and Bruce due to COVID-19.
Over the course of the pandemic, four residents of Grey Bruce have died from the virus.
Public Health says there is a case associated with Timothy Christian school in Owen Sound. They say their assessment to date indicates transmission did not take place in the school environment, and there are no bus routes involved.
Meanwhile, 26, 227 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered locally to date.
This week’s shipment of vaccines consists of 5,850 doses.
Yesterday the Province expanded eligibility for vaccination to those aged 70 and up in Grey Bruce. This week’s appointments are already fully booked.
Public Health says to book later in the week for appointments next week when more vaccines will be available.
